While being in the psych ward, we had a group project of drawing an emotion our group can relate ton and we decided on the feeling of knowing what to do but feeling helpless in doing it.
My idea was being stuck in front of a closed door with many keys who might open it. You can see the bright light shine through the keyhole, indicating that behind that door is the answer they’ve been searching for. The person in the picture is clearly overwhelmed by all the keys and doesn’t know which one could fit to unlock the door. Some keys have wings, indicating that those would fit into the keyhole, but the person doesn’t seem to notice. Or do they? Perhaps they know which one would help, which ones are the answer for their problem, but they seem too helpless to change their situation.

So many right answers and helping hands, but reaching out to the right key seems impossible and too hard to manage alone.
In the end they stay behind the closed door, unable to move and feeling the weight of decision and their problems.
